MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA
Ordinary member
(O-MACTB)
any person over 18 years old of age who is a Malaysian citizen and is engaged in scientific and technological work in the field of cell and tissue banking or in appropriate cases has an interest and competence in the aspects of cell and tissue banking is eligible for admission
shall be proposed and seconded by one existing member and shall be forwarded to the secretary who shall at the first convenient opportunity submit it to the committee for approval. The committee may at its discretion reject any application without assigning reason.
Life member
(L-MACTB)
Ordinary member of any person over 18 years of age who is a Malaysian citizen and is engaged in scientific and technological work in the field of cell and tissue banking is eligible for the admission
shall be proposed and seconded by one existing member and shall be forwarded to the secretary who shall at the first convenient submit it to the committee for approval. The committee may at its discretion reject any application without assigning reason.
The fee shall be paid together only once.
Associate member
(A-MACTB)
any person over 18 years of age who is a non-malaysian citizen and is engaged in scientific and technological work in the field of cell and tissue banking is eligible for admission
shall be proposed and seconded by one existing member and shall be forwarded to the secretary who shall at the first convenient submit it to the committee for approval.
Corporate member
(C-MACTB)
may be a corporation or a company duly registered in Malaysia, possessing the desire to promote the interest of the society.
application for corporate member shall be in appropriate application form in details as established by the society and shall be accompanied by appropriate membership fees. The decision for corporate member shall rest solely with the committee.
Student member
(S-MACTB)
shall be Malaysia, non-Malaysian citizen who is above 18 years of age and is interested in the purposes of the society and is currently enrolled in any Malaysian school, college or university.
Any university or university college student who wishes to become a member of the society shall obtain prior written approval from the appropriate authority concerned. Conversion of a student possible after graduation by satisfying the requirements for ordinary, associate of life membership.
Honorary member
(H-MACTB)
shall be Malaysian and non-Malaysian citizen and age more than 35 years old, of acknowledged eminence in the field of cell and tissue banking and/or one who has been recognised as having contributed to the interest of the society.
by invitation from the committee only and no annual fee will be charged.
